Tyler Hall is an award winning editor located in Toronto, renowned for his expertise in True Crime and Mystery, with a diverse background in both animation and live-action projects. His work has showcased at film festivals such as Toronto Indie Film Festival, TIFF of CIFT, Vancouver's Bridge Fest and Canadian Society of Cinematographers. Recently, he edited a segment for CBS Mornings, which reached an audience of over 13 million Americans live.
As a dedicated member of the DGC, Tyler actively participates in workshops and is committed to supporting fellow members in achieving their aspirations. He remains flexible regarding project types, considering both Union and Non-Union opportunities.
Reflecting on his early inspiration, Tyler recalls a pivotal moment in his childhood when he became captivated by the intricate narratives of films such as M. Night Shyamalan's "The Sixth Sense" and the Wachowskis' "The Matrix." This experience sparked a lifelong passion for storytelling, ultimately leading him to a career in film & television.
In addition to his editing work, Tyler has authored several unpublished books, accumulated over 10,000 hours of experience in varying keyframe based animation pipelines, created his first feature film at the age of 16, and graduated with distinction from Toronto Metropolitan University's IMA Film school with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.
